Rises northeast corner Pinal county; flows northeast across corner Maricopa county, into Gila county; enters Pinto creek from west about 2 miles from Roosevelt lake. 

According to local authorities U. S. troops made this stream their headquarters during Crook's Indian campaigns, 1873.
