Elevation 2, 125 feet.  West side Dome Rock mountain.  "After the nearby Bowyer mine.  Close to eastern line Colorado Ind. Res.  In R. 5 N.  Mine owned by Joe Bowyer for whom the peak was named."  Letter, O. G. Keiser.
