Bloxton

Santa Cruz Co.

Roskruge Map, 1893;  List  S. P. R. R. Stations.

Station on Benson-Nogales branch of S. P. R. R.  About 17 miles northeast of Nogales, on the Sandford ranch.  Sandford ran about 13,000 sheep here in 1881, much to the disgust of his cattlemen neighbors.

"Bloxton was named after Bob Bloxton, son-in-law of D. A. Sandford.  It was about 4 miles west of Patagonia."  Arizona Yesterdays.
