Indian village on Gila River Ind. Res. In  T. 4 S., R. 7 E.  Papago name is "Oo-Kut."  "Standing Tree."  The Pima "Calendar sticks" speak as early as 1871-72 of a Pima Indian known as "Old Man Blackwater" but who he was or how he got the name no one can say.  P.O. established April 18, 1907, Samuel Pinckley, P.M.
