Black Mesa

Navajo and Apache Cos.

GLO Map, 1921

Long, well marked mesa, 2,200 feet high, extending northwest to southeast from Marsh pass to Yale point, Navajo Ind. Res.  "At a distance it is very dark-colored, almost black."  Not to be mistaken for the Black mesa in Fort Apache Ind. Res.  So named by Gregory.  See Mesa la Vaca.
