Barnes Peak

Map, Crook N. F., 1926.

Elevation 5,028 feet.  In sec. 31, T. 2 N., R. 14 E.  So called by Dr. F. L. Ransome, U. S. G. S. "after a prospector by this name who had a mine at this peak in the Silver King district."  Ransom discovered an unusual geological formation near the Barnes mine which he called "Barnes Conglomerate."  Hinton.  Ransome U. S. G. S.  No. 12, 1903.
